Animals according to kids – what would that look like? A father-of-two called Tom shares his kids' drawings under his Instagram handle @thingsihavedrawn and believe us, they are hilarious! Life usually changes when you become a parent, and Tom is an example of how to find something you can bond over with your kids. His children Al and Dom provide the inspiration and Tom then turns their drawings into semi-realistic images.

1) A Dolphin According to Kids

In Dom's and Al's imagination, dolphins have both eyes on one side and apparently have two mouths. One side-mouth. Could be practical!

2) Weirdest Giraffe I've Ever Seen

Al and Dom apparently think that giraffes consist of 70% neck, 30% is the rest of their body. Of course, their long neck is their most prominent feature, however, they do have quite lengthy legs as well. Plus: the kids have decided that giraffes' forelegs are attached right under their heads. We've got to support this choice though, since giraffes fight attacking animals by kicking them with their front legs. Now the only thing they need are boxing gloves.

3) Is it a Dog? Is it a Bird? Is it a Dogbird?

Tom comments below the post: "Move on everyone - there's nothing to see. Just a dog. With bird's legs. Up in a tree." Some children's drawings are simply too good to be true.

4) When Children Draw a Duck

Behold a duck, the friendliest of its kind. The kids equipped it with extra-long legs, so that its feathers don't have to touch the cold water as it wades through rivers. Just like the dolphin, the duck also has its face on one side only. Its smile is so kind that we wouldn't mind inviting it for a cup of tea. Slurp slurp.

5) Are You Okay, Ms Cow?

The internet offers a plethora of curious pictures, and this one definitely belongs to the more awkward finds. Even Tom agrees with that – he writes: "Some of our creations make me shudder. (Especially those with a droopy udder.)" We're with you there, man.

6) The Fairest Horse of Them all

Tom self-evidently describes this post with the words: "Of course it's a horse." I definitely remember wandering the fields in my childhood, watching one of these fairy creatures, with their chunky bodies and huge faces.

This creation was penned by Al, who apparently thinks that rhinos have pretty simple bodies and an itsy-bitsy head. The "side-face" seems to be the young artist duo's trademark.

Video of Seal Stealing Lounge Chair Goes Viral

Surely Dom and Al would have loved to experience what happened to this seemingly disgruntled hotel guest at Hotel "Solymar" in the Galapagos Islands. TikTok user @bmorekenzie619 posted a video of the seal that is known to the hotel staff. They affectionately call her "Wendy" - apparently Wendy loves to swim in the hotel pool and then relax on one of the loungers! She doesn't seem to mind that the deck chairs are reserved with a towel, as you can see in the sweet video clip.
