Tattoos - some love them, some hate them. And who doesn't know at least one person who has a "trendy tattoo"?
Unlike tattoos of astrological signs, which are often original, these are mostly designs that tattoo artists probably see almost every day. Even though there are very nice tattoo designs, many choose exactly the designs that people have called a "sin of one's youth" and which were often removed via laser treatment a few years later. But what exactly are the most common designs? On Reddit, tattoo artists were asked and gave some interesting answers.

How many of these designs have you seen on someone?

1. Live Laugh Love

Although the idea behind this tattoo is a daily reminder to approach life in a positive way, so many people now wear these three little words on their skin that many tattoo artists don't want to do this design anymore. However, we have to admit that @kejtt__p's version is pretty adorable!

2. The Famous Infinity Sign

On this, Reddit user darthinksmith_87 comments: "Infinity symbols with names woven into them, hidden in a feather, then the feather becomes birds, then the birds become dandelion seeds. All in white ink on the bottom of the foot and you have to make sure it's done like a watercolour tattoo." Does anyone feel addressed?

3. Chinese Characters

Commenting on popular Chinese quotes and characters, user cunninglinguistician says, "generic "deep phrases" (or incorrectly translated/gibberish writing) in Asian scripts because anything from Asia is automatically mystical and wise. Saw a photo of an arm tattoo saying '火鸡三明治' [i.e. turkey sandwich] once that I really hope was fake."

4. Buddhist Symbols

Meanwhile, while almost everyone is searching for inner peace through Buddhist wisdom, Reddit user cunninglinguistician is also less than enthusiastic about the designs: "Also getting random Hindu/Buddhist symbols without having any idea what they're called or what they mean because they want people to know they're 'spiritual'."

Still, let's face it, for many, a Buddhist tattoo reminds them to find their inner peace. For example, Reddit user treerex writes about his endless knot tattoo, "I got it after being diagnosed with terminal cancer."

5. White Ink

A rather modern trend, but one that is now facing some resistance. Reddit user aceboogie1123 comments, "White ink tattoos are very annoying, they look good right after they're done but pretty soon you can hardly see them. I actually know a few artists that refuse to do them."

Even though it seems to be a fleeting joy, bewhitetattoo's tattoo done with white ink is quite pretty.

6. Rib Tattoos

A great spot because it's easy to hide, but anything but pleasant for tattoo artists, judging by the words of Reddit user ladycoleopterist: "I'm sick of rib tattoos because it's super stretchy and a good 20% of people I tattoo there will shake and twitch through the whole thing. Girls of Pinterest, make calf tattoos the next big thing!"

8. The Dream Catcher

User izakk133 doesn't want to tattoo the dreamcatcher anymore. This is probably because everyone has already done this motive. There are so many other beautiful tattoo designs, people!

9. Crosses

Reddit user BriarrRose says he has a distaste for unsightly, just plain ugly crosses. "Unattractive, straight up ugly crosses. To me it's a shame when people have bad taste in crosses. It's such a simple thing that's supposed to be meaningful yet some people can't seem to get past the second page of google images."
